Whistleblower programme

This is a channel for reporting of wrongdoing or fraud to IDEWE. 
 

Note: IDEWE’s whistleblower programme is not intended for employees of companies affiliated with IDEWE with complaints of undesirable unacceptable behaviour at work.

If you are feeling bullied or discriminated against at work or wish to address wrongdoing at your employer, the whistleblower programme is not the right method. 

In such cases, you are better off approaching a confidential counsellor at your company or the prevention advisor from your employer’s affiliated external prevention service. Who may use the whistleblowing application to submit a report?

Reports may be submitted only by individuals in a work-related context vis-à-vis IDEWE. This includes the following groups:

  1. persons who are IDEWE employees within the meaning of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Article 45(1), including civil servants;
  2. persons who are self-employed within the meaning of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Article 49, and are carrying out assignments for IDEWE
  3. members of IDEWE’s General Meeting or Board of Directors and members of IDEWE’s management or supervisory body, including volunteers and paid or unpaid trainees;
  4. anyone working under the supervision and direction of IDEWE;
  5. persons who were previously in a working relationship with IDEWE which has since ended, if reporting information about violations discovered during this employment relationship;
  6. persons whose working relationship with IDEWE is yet to start, if reporting information about violations discovered during the recruitment procedure or other pre-contractual negotiations.
     

Who may not use the whistleblowing application to submit a complaint?

  1. Companies that are affiliated with IDEWE,  are in a customer relationship and may not submit whistleblowing complaints to IDEWE.
  2. Employees of affiliated companies also may not submit whistleblowing complaints to IDEWE.

For complaints about IDEWE’s services, affiliated companies and their employees can use IDEWE’s general e-mail address, info@idewe.be, or submit their complaint through one of IDEWE’s regional offices. IDEWE will process such complaints according to a calibrated ISO procedure.

Do you wish to submit a report of suspected or confirmed wrongdoing or fraud? In that case, register your complaint via this link. You may also choose to register your complaint anonymously. Once you have made your report, you will receive a token that you can use to monitor its status. Additionally, you will receive a confirmation of receipt within seven calendar days. Our company lawyer investigates and deals with every report impartially. We will inform you of the steps that we have taken to address your complaint within three months of receiving your report.

Your confidentiality and your protection as a whistleblower are essential components of this new legislation. Our whistleblowing programme also guarantees confidential treatment of every report. Our company lawyer will not disclose your identity during this process and you will not be subject to any form of retaliation for making your report.
