Working healthily and safely? Request a risk assessment

A well-thought-out risk assessment ensures a safe, healthy working environment.
It investigates employees’ risk exposure so you can take appropriate preventive measures. It is required by law. More than that, with a risk assessment, you can enhance employee productivity and wellbeing.

What is a risk assessment?

A risk assessment identifies workplace hazards and assesses their impact. That way you know which risks are most important to address.

A general risk assessment identifies and assesses wellbeing risks at your organisation. If a general risk assessment is not sufficient to accurately assess the risks, we carry out more specialised risk assessments. Examples include:

As a project manager or site manager in the construction sector, do you need support in areas of safety, such as drawing up risk assessments and procedures, training construction workers or other measures you can take to support safety on a construction site?

Why is a risk assessment necessary?

As an employer, you are legally obliged to identify risks at your organisation and take preventive measures. More than that, a strong prevention policy and well-executed risk assessment are beneficial to you and your employees for many reasons:

  • Fewer accidents at work or health problems
  • Safer, more productive working environment
  • Cost savings due to avoidance of sickness absence
  • Reputation as a caring employer

How can IDEWE help you with your risk assessment?

At IDEWE, you receive support tailored to your organisation, whether large or small. You can carry out your risk assessment together with us or choose to have us take care of it for you. Our experts use the SARIER® method at larger organisations and a pragmatic, tailored approach for smaller companies. Do you have your own preferred assessment method? That’s also fine with us.

We will guide you through your risk assessment step by step:

  • Risk inventory: what are the hazards?
  • Risk assessment and evaluation: how serious are the risks and how likely are they to occur?
  • Action plan tailored to your organisation: what preventive measures are required?
  • Implementation and follow-up: what measures should you implement and are you making frequent adjustments?

A risk assessment offers you the following benefits:

  1. You learn which risks are most important and should be addressed first. That way you can develop a structured and systematic approach to improve your risk management.
  2. You receive information about risks to others working at your company such as temporary workers, students and (sub)contractors.
  3. You receive advice on effective, efficient prevention measures.
  4. You can define risks for individual employees and explore their needs. That way you can determine which training, guidance or protective equipment to offer your employees to enable them to work more safely.
